Spaces that tell stories
With a degree in architecture under her belt and a keen eye for detail, she has been creating breathtaking film sets since 2018 that are so authentic you forget they are made of wood, fabric and paint. Her passion lies in creating spaces that support the characters and plot and transport the audience to other worlds. During location scouting, she looks for the right filming locations and then takes care of the selection and placement of decorative elements, furniture, props and other visual details to create the right atmosphere and authenticity. The focus here is on the right coordination and close collaboration with other departments, such as costume design, lighting design and camera technology, to ensure that the visual concept is coherent. Whether art director, set decorator or production designer - Leonie ensures that every set is perfectly staged and that the film's story is told in a visually impressive way.
